Our ISO 9001 standard certification helps us to develop and improve our performance and maintain our high-quality service. This certification applies to: the manufacture of anti-wear plates for the railway sector, anti-wear bushes and bolts, armour plates and anti-wear plates for shot blasting machines, made with 12/14% manganese steel.

We also specialise in other technical applications of austenitic steel with a high manganese content (11/14%) , known as X120Mn12, EN No. 1.3401 or HADFIELD. We are a leading exporter of this material.

Since its foundation in 1973, Egumendi S. L. has dedicated its work exclusively to the different technical applications of manganese steels. As a result we have developed a vast pool of knowledge and experience of working with this material.

Decades of research and hard work have made us a leader in Europe within the sector. From our region, which has a deep-rooted industrial tradition and is located between the Gipuzkoan towns of Urretxu and Zumarraga, we supply wear plates to the main railway carriage manufacturers.

Today, we have successfully adapted our machinery and equipment so that it can meet the most specific production needs. This allows us to manufacture a wide range of plates and parts, adapted to our customers’ requirements.
